That's right ladies and gentlemen... I've finished recording my album 'Big'. I've not been home 5 minutes from the studio and I had to jump on here and shout to the world how excited I am. Bleu arrives on Saturday to get cracking on a mix... but my job is done. The last harmonies went down on 'Warning To You'... about an hour ago. I thought it was going to be one of the hardest ones to pull off but Don and I decided it was probably better left with a lovely singular tender lead vocal. So we just put down some very 'backgroundy' harms through the chorus... and then high fived each other. How pertinent is it that as soon as we were done... the skies finally opened up here in Perth. We've been without any rain for at least a month... probably a lot longer... and we've had rain threatening on the website for the last few days... but it just held out until the last harmony was sung... and let it fly. The rain is now pouring onto my roof.. and I've never felt happier about it. Now that the recording is over... I guess I can move on creatively now and start some new material. I've been so blocked for the last 20 months while this project has been above my head. All I can say is... Woo Hoo. Love Court.
